This was a six mile hike that I found on the visitpagosasprings.com website. I was staying at the Club Wyndham Pagosa Springs (review here) To get to it from Pagosa Springs you had to drive about 9 miles on a dirt road. Once there you walked for 3 miles in and then three miles out. Beautiful mountain and forest views… You walked across small creeks several times… The hike is at 8000 to 9000 feet so I was glad I was acclimated for a day before doing the hike (Pagosa Springs is at 7000 feet). The hike itself is a general rise in elevation. I took it easy to enjoyed the views. Even saw some cows along the way who seemed happy to be there too. There is an incline at the end of the hike getting back to the parking lot..
