Why do Condo’s appreciate and Timeshares do not. The bottom line is there is a supply / demand issue on resale contracts. There is a huge supply, so the resale value is low. This is true even with the fact that the usage of a timeshare can often be better than a condo as a second home.
I have compared the costs and found that for the a much lower cost, I can own a timeshare that allows me two weekends a month plus a week of vacation for similar ongoing costs. And I can go to Multiple locations. Yet my timeshare is a throw away in terms of resale. Why?
