Ongoing costs are very important to understand because they form the basis of how much it costs to use your timeshare. Maintenance costs are similar to gas, oil changes, etc… that you have for your car… You are not done paying once you buy the car. You have to maintain the car and timeshares are no different.
In this video, I selected three locations (or areas) where all three major timeshares have locations. While nothing is ever exactly the same, it is good to compare ongoing costs. While your maintenance fees might be different than mine for Hilton, Marriott, or Worldmark, this video gives you a good idea of the differences. If you are new or considering timeshares, then this provides with one point of view (the ongoing costs) for you to decide which timeshare company is better for you.
I did not cover more subjective aspects of the different brands. Each person would describe luxury differently and Luxury matters to most people differently. But this is the criteria I have used to build my portfolio of timeshares.
