I was so excited when Marriott announced it purchase of Vistana in 2018. I was excited by the number of locations of the combined clubs. So excited that I upgraded my Vistana and bought Marriott with plans of being Platinum for life in Marriott Bonvoy.
But after four plus years of waiting for the merger I am frustrated. I still don’t have my Platinum membership. Each sales presentation is different depending on if you are at a Vistana or Marriott location. The basic message is, “We can’t really tell you the new program, but if you buy everything will be what you want”. But how is that possible without a clear program? Maybe it is just me, but I am frustrated and not considering anything Marriott until the program is live.
