In this video, I highlighted that AirBnb can be an excellent opportunity to expand your travel options. In my case, I rented a one bedroom in Phoenix during the peak period of January. If I rented timeshares for that same period, it would have cost me much more than the $1300+ I paid for the AirBnb. Obviously, there weren’t all the amenities of a timeshare. But the tradeoff was worth it for me. But just like timeshares, if you want a good location at a good price you have to book well in advance (I booked it a year in advance).
But my main point is that you don’t have to choose from either timeshares or Airbnb. You should leverage both. AirBnb has the advantage of being almost everywhere and have some really unique options (renting an Airbnb on a coffee plantation in Hawaii is my bucket list item).
