Galveston is located about an hour away from Houston’s Hobby International airport. I took a shuttle from the airport roundtrip for about $60. The hotel is just across the street from the beach ( a short walk from the road).
This review is an example of what a timeshare lite (like a timeshare but really a hotel). I had a one bedroom unit with all the features of a timeshare (pool, barbecue, full kitchen less stove, fitness center, etc..) But the cost was 88K Hilton Honors points for a five night stay which is less than two timeshares sales presentations :-).
I enjoyed my time relaxing in Galveston. I spent a lot of time walking along the ocean and the seawall (It is supposed to be the longest seawall in the US). I hope you enjoy the video review and consider doing a “timeshare lite” someday.
