If you take a trip to Kauai and you are staying near Kapaa’, then you might consider walking along the ocean. Although this hike goes from the Club Wyndham Kauai Beach Villas to The Lava Lava Beach Club, a hike from Lava Lava south toward Lihue would be wonderful as well…
Especially with the Lyngate Park being along the way. The park has wonderful views and places to picnic, but there is also an area perfect for swimming. Much of that side of the island has a lot of currents which makes swimming dangerous. But in the park, they have created a safe swimming area by placing lava rocks all around an area so that the currents don’t flow there… many people like on the beach there or even swimming.
