Located in Dana Point about 1 hour south of Los Angeles, luxurious Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach resort. It is part of the Hilton Hotel chain. The resort and golf course are located right near the beach and you can walk down to the beach from the hotel (or take a tram).
I stayed in a pool view room. Included in the video review is the room, pools, fitness center, a small botanical garden. Even the Jacuzzi’s are elegant as they are filled to the top and the water overflows over the top instead of refilling through a return in the jacuzzi.
As a Diamond member with a Hilton Honors American Express card, I was able to stay free for two nights. It was a wonderful stay.
