I am enjoying my time in Hawaii. Then it dawned on me that I am less than 20 minutes from many of the worlds best coffee plantations that all roast Kona coffee. So, I decided that I would sample a few locations and share them with you. I went to four different types of places;
- Greenwell Farms has a great tour. They were founded in the 1800’s and were credited with putting Kona coffee on the map
- Mountain Thunder is over 3500 foot elevation and has a cool roasting process
- Hala Tree has organic coffee and tea. And you can purchase a cup of coffee you want to sample that is not being tasted that day.
- Kona Joe’s has the most amazing views… It’s Hawaii, of course there are beautiful views
