I was in Las Vegas in December of 2024 and decided to do an owner update. I was hoping to learn more about the integration of Vistana and Marriott and if there was any new options. It turns out that there is a push for Marriott to buy back the Vistana points and Merge them into Marriott. This would create more inventory for the broader Marriott owner base, so they are offering interesting deals.
I will need to do some research, but basically they want me to do an upgrade and use those upgrade points to offset my maintenance. In addition, they are saying that the integrated points would save on Maintenance fees across the board plus I could use the upgrade points to buy down my maintenance. I will need to do an ROI to decide if this is worth it.
